twists and turns

Great Scott! There has been quite a peculiar twist in our off-grid "let's make it as hard as possible quest." Let me give it to you casually (which is easy to do as I type, but if you saw me in person, I would be doing Olympian gymnastics). It was a hard day, damnit. It was hot and I have no clue why I put mascara on, because it melted off of me and I looked as though I should have joined the emo- circus. I guess I seriously thought that the saguaros would somehow notice that I tried to look semi-more attractive and cool me down by spraying me with their stored up water. I opened the door to our humble box, and Adam (bless his happy ass heart) was smiling, whistling, and watering our beautiful garden. I walked out, interrupted his sunshine whistling, and lifted up my homemade white flag shouting "I surrender". At that exact moment, an angel (a.k.a. our neighbor) came riding up on her unicorn (a.k.a. her donkey). All I heard come out of her mouth were harmonic harps playing but apparently she said this, " Please come stay at our beautiful solar powered ranch for 5 months while my husband and I cruise to Canada. Also, please eat the eggs that my chickens will lay for you." So here we are...... less than 1/4 of a mile down the dirt road from our off-grid self made homestead, using their solar powered AC, taking baths in their gigantic tubs (water provided by their well of course) as I read entire novels, and taking full advantage of their kitchen that I can bust out crazy break-dance moves in. I am now off the grid AND I have brilliant amenities and for some strange reason, all I want to do is walk down the dirt path and check on our humble creation. Life is always playing tricks on me but I am 100% amused by her type of ironic humor.
